The Fender 12 string guitar produces a smooth and unique sound. Although, I find the neck of the guitar wide making it hard to hold and to finger. When I strum my guitar, I like the quality of the sound. It is clear and precise, and it does not have the tinny sound. It is as if I am playing in harmony only it is just me playing.

The 12-string guitar is hard to tune and if you are not used to a 12 string, you have to take the time to get used to picking it. Once you have picked on it enough you will like it and the tone it produces. Another downside is the fact you have double the strings to contend with and this makes it a challenge when changing strings and tuning.

If you can play a six string, you will be able to play the 12 string. Just get to know it and do not let the extra strings scare you. Once you master the 12 string, you might not want to play the six strings again. The tone is awesome to listen to and you definitely can hear the difference between the two.
